A unique opportunity exists for a Senior Social Worker to join the Paediatric Pain Service at Sydney Children's Hospital. This a specialist service providing treatment and care to children and young people with chronic pain. The social worker has a key role in working with parents and families. The role is well support with clinical supervision and a range of professional development opportunities.

* A resume (maximum 5 pages) outlining your experience
* Responses to the questions below:
* Eligibility for AASW membership with significant post graduate experience in social work practice with families and children and/or in health context.
* Substantial post graduate experience in social work practice with children and their families.
* A well-developed knowledge of the psycho-social challenges facing families in the relevant clinical area and a sound knowledge of relevant community resources and support services available to the children and families.
* Significant post graduate experience in a variety of social work interventions/modalities including psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, case management, counselling, group work.
* Excellent demonstrated interpersonal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
* Demonstrated skills and experience in clinical supervision, professional education activities, service planning, and quality improvement activities.
* Competent computer skills and ability to adapt to new IT systems.
* Capacity to share after hours and weekend on call duties – as required.
