Clinical Nurse Consultant (Grd 2) - Child and Family Health - Temp FT
The role is to provide support and advice to the NUM’s and staff of the Sustaining NSW Families staff located at Fairfield and Rosemeadow. The successful applicant will spend their time between the 2 sites.
The successful applicant will work with an experienced team of clinicians both Nursing and Allied Health.
The role entails ensuring the fidelity of the program across the 2 sites and ensuring that the clients are recruited and remain engaged within the program for the 2 years.
The successful candidate will need to be a critical thinker, be personable, and a great communicator.
About The Prospect
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) is an expert practitioner who, through leadership, facilitates evidence-based practice within Child and Family Health Nursing (CFHN). The CNC will promote a service which fosters clinical excellence, research, and professional leadership in CFHN.
The CNC contributes to quality health care by collaborating with the health care providers and consumer groups, developing clinical practice standards, and evaluating their outcomes. The CNC is responsible for providing services which facilitate effective management in CFHN.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- At least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience, with at least 3 years full-time equivalent experience in the specialty field of Child and Family Health Nursing (CFHN).
- Approved postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field in which the employee is appointed (CFHN), or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
