We’re seeking an experienced Cyber Security Coordinator to lead and uplift cyber capability within a complex and evolving environment. This is a key role working closely with senior stakeholders to strengthen cyber resilience, embed best practice security frameworks, and drive both strategic and operational security initiatives. About the Role You will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust cyber security framework and program of work, ensuring security is embedded across all technology initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to work across both strategy and hands-on delivery, influencing outcomes at an organisational level while remaining close to the technical landscape. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive cyber security framework and program Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability management, and mitigation planning Lead and coordinate incident response and investigation activities Work closely with internal teams and SOC providers to enhance detection and response capabilities Design and improve security processes, policies, and governance frameworks Ensure alignment with regulatory and industry standards including Essential Eight, ISO 27001, and relevant frameworks Support and uplift security across a brownfield environment, improving existing systems and controls Partner with stakeholders across the business to embed security into projects and operations Deliver security awareness and training initiatives Provide regular reporting on cyber posture, risks, and emerging threats About You You are a well-rounded cyber security professional who can operate at both a strategic and technical level, with a strong ability to influence and deliver outcomes. You will bring: 8 years’ experience in cyber security or information security roles Proven experience developing or contributing to cyber security frameworks and programs Strong knowledge of Essential Eight (Essential 8) and broader security standards Experience working within a Microsoft security environment (e.g. M365, Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID) Experience working in brownfield environments, improving and uplifting existing security posture Strong understanding of security operations (SOC), incident response, and threat detection Demonstrated experience building and improving security processes, governance, and controls Solid technical grounding across infrastructure, cloud, and security tooling Ability to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Desirable: Certifications such as CISSP, CISM or similar Experience within government or regulated environments What’s on Offer 12-month contract with potential for extension Flexible working arrangements (after initial settling in period) Opportunity to shape and grow the role and make a real impact Exposure to both strategic initiatives and hands-on security delivery Collaborative environment with strong stakeholder engagement Apply Now If you’re looking for a role where you can influence cyber strategy while staying close to the technical detail, we’d love to hear from you.
