About the Company
MacKellar is the mining services contractor for Bravus' Carmichael Mine, delivering long-term employment and opportunities across regional Queensland. About the Role
This is a permanent position within our maintenance team, working a 7/7 rotating roster (currently day shift only, with flexibility to transition to day/night as operational requirements change).
Key responsibilities include:
* Repair and maintenance of ancillary equipment, including generators, lighting towers, light vehicles, forklifts, and related assets
* Fault finding and troubleshooting across scheduled and preventative maintenance activities
* Ensuring planned maintenance is completed within allocated timeframes and cost requirements
* Working autonomously while following direction from supervisors
* Identifying and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the team
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in Open Cut Coal mining, along with:
* Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or an industry-equivalent qualification
* High Risk Work Licences (highly desirable)
* Current Standard 11 and CBM, or willingness to obtain
* A valid Queensland Driver Licence
