**The Role**
The APS4 Logistic Clerk Loans and Ammunition supervisor reports to the APS5 the Store Manager (APS 5), and also supervises the Garrison Q cell to ensure all logistic requirements are met.
The APS4 is responsible for the coordination of Loan Stores for 5 Bde and ensuring all loans are picked up and returned to the appropriate stakeholders. To have a good knowledge of policy and procedures relating to ammunition forecasting, documentation and management. Require a good working knowledge of the MILIS program and the Supply Chain Manual to ensure correct procedures are carried out.
An APS4 Logistics Clerk is accountable under limited direction to undertake moderately complex logistics inventory management activities and tasks. They will work within a framework of legislation, established principles, work practices and procedures in accordance with Defence's mission and business objectives. They will take individual responsibility for accurate completion of work and seek guidance when required.
An APS4 Logistics Clerk will be competent within the logistics discipline, exercise initiative and judgement and require limited guidance. They are expected to plan and complete logistics inventory management activities and tasks, selecting methods and resolving most of the issues that arise. They will be provided with assistance and guidance for the more complex issues.
**About our Team**
5 Combat Support Service Battalion (5 CSSB) is an Army Reserve unit which provides logistics, catering, transport and maintenance support to 5 Bde units which are geographically dispersed across NSW. The bulk of the unit is located at Holsworthy Barracks with other personnel parading at HMAS Harman and Wagga Wagga.5 CSSB manages the Logistic requirements for all 5 Bde units within the Southern Area of NSW from Holsworthy Barracks. The Q Store within 5 CSSB manages the Corporate Governance for all 5 BDE units. It has a large Q Store which holds most of the Brigade Stores. It works closely with its sister unit 8 CSSB, which manages the Northern Area of NSW.
