South Western Sydney Local Health District offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated and purpose‑driven Clinical Psychologist to join the district‑wide Transitional Aged Care Program (TACP). In this community‑based role, you will work with a diverse population of older people, delivering specialist psychological and psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, and intervention to clients experiencing complex mental health challenges. Through a holistic and goal‑oriented approach, you will support clients to maintain independence, improve wellbeing, and achieve meaningful outcomes within their own homes, while engaging with families and community partners to provide comprehensive, person‑centred care.

You are a dedicated and outgoing Clinical Psychologist who thrives in a multidisciplinary environment and is passionate about working autonomously across South Western Sydney Local Health District. You bring a strong commitment to evidence‑based practice, recovery‑focused care, and continuous professional development, including clinical supervision, teaching, and quality improvement activities. With the ability to work independently while supporting colleagues and service development, you are ready to make a lasting impact by delivering high‑quality psychological services that genuinely change the lives of older clients in the community.
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
* Full registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), with full Clinical Psychology endorsement or eligibility to progress to Clinical Psychology endorsement with AHPRA. Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Psychology of no less than two years full - time duration or recognised equivalent.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in psychological assessment, case formulation and intervention for older adults with complex mental illnesses.
* Demonstrated high level organisational, prioritisation and time management skills in an environment of competing clinical demands and a geographically large area.
* Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
