Due to growth, we have an opportunity for a Planning Manager role to join our Melbourne Land Lease Communities Team.

Now is an exciting time to join this market disrupting sector, in a diverse role that will give you the ability to grow your career working on Stockland's market leading Land Lease Communities projects. These are typically comprising of freestanding homes, clubhouses and recreational facilities (pools, bowling greens, etc).

**The Opportunity - About the Role**

In this role you will manage a high performing team, consistently support a design and customer focused culture and achieve approval of major pipeline projects, ensuring profitability in the delivery phase by leading both internal & external teams. Drive strong engagement with key stakeholders to ensure support for the Project Vision and agreed outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Manage all aspects of the front end of project delivery including; Design development and preparation of Development Applications to Financial performance - reporting, budgeting, risk assessment, monthly reviews and cash flow management.
- Ensure project(s) is scoped, designed and delivered in accordance with the Stockland Development process (D-Life), approved policies, and the agreed vision.
- Manage development expenditure, operating expenditure, risks and opportunities in accordance with the approved LTF and maximise opportunities for improved returns,
- Take a leadership role to ensure a project culture of design thinking, customer focus and cross-divisional collaboration is fostered leveraging Stockland's mixed use capabilities.
- Collaborate across States to gain an understanding of how the planning systems vary to assist in discussions with the State Government.
- Obtaining all required current and future approvals; and Monitor market and competitor activity constantly in relation to the direction and performance of the project(s), implement product changes in conjunction with members of the cross functional project team when applicable to maintain competitiveness.
- Engage directly with and manage relationships across Stockland with the key stakeholder groups including but not limited to: State/Local Government approval authorities, consultants, contractors, community groups/stakeholders, and builder partners to achieve required outcomes in a manner that enhances the image and reputation of Stockland.
- Ensure understanding of and performance consistent with applicable internal and external compliance and regulatory requirements as well as the internal escalation procedures.

**About You**
- 8 -10 years industry experience
- Front-end development experience, including masterplanning and taking projects from visioning through to construction commencement
- Project, cost and risk management expertise
- Proven experience managing multiple projects or a portfolio of projects
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams
- Demonstrated commercial acumen
- Proven track record of achieving results through influencing and relationship skills
- Demonstrated understanding of the development industry with a focus on key drivers and the ability to tailor the product mix to suit varying market trends/consumer sentiment
