Customer-Focused Administration Role in Healthcare

We are seeking a customer-focused and highly organised Patient Services Officer to support patients, visitors, and clinical staff across our hospital. This role plays a vital part in ensuring smooth patient journeys through high-quality administrative support, coordination, and communication.


Your new role:

As a Patient Services Officer, you will be a key point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff, providing professional, courteous, and efficient administrative support across the hospital. You will contribute to patient flow, appointment coordination, and accurate record management while supporting a diverse and inclusive healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities include:

* Providing frontline customer service via phone, email, and in person, including reception and visitor assistance
* Acting as the primary contact for the department and ensuring accurate message and information transfer
* Collecting, recording, and updating patient demographic and admission information using hospital systems
* Supporting patient flow by coordinating admissions, discharges, transfers, and related documentation
* Booking and coordinating patient appointments, clinics, and procedures, including waitlist management

By 2027, we'll have more beds and more treatment spaces as part of the Princess Alexandra Hospital expansion.
