Fourfold Co is coming to Cable Beach, Broome.
A brand new café, grab-and-go, and community space opening late July 2026 in the reimagined Cable Beach General Store.
We're looking for a Head Chef to join our team full-time from mid-July. Someone who genuinely loves food, takes pride in their prep, and wants to help us build something really special from day one.
This isn't a traditional restaurant gig.
Our kitchen is prep-focused - think daily baking, beautiful grab-and-go cabinets, wholesome heat-at-home meals, beach picnic boxes, and acai bowls. Consistent hours. Owners that have your back. And a kitchen you can be proud of.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare and cook all café menu items to a consistently high standard and presentation
2. Arrive before opening to complete all necessary food preparation and kitchen setup
3. Collaborate with the owners to develop, refine, and evolve the Fourfold Co menu
4. Help establish kitchen systems, workflows, and recipes from the ground up
5. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen at all times in line with food safety regulations
6. Ensure all food is stored, labelled, and handled correctly
7. Monitor ingredient stock levels and communicate ordering needs to management
8. Assist with premade and display food preparation, ensuring items are presented attractively
9. Direct and support kitchen all-rounders during service
10. Participate in menu tastings, costing, and seasonal menu updates
11. Complete all kitchen opening and closing procedures
Qualifications & Experience
12. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent trade qualification)
13. Minimum 2 years' experience as a chef or cook in a café, restaurant, or similar environment
14. Food Safety Supervisor certificate (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
15. Sound knowledge of food handling, hygiene, and kitchen safety practices
16. Experience preparing a range of breakfast and/or lunch menu items
17. Ability to work early morning starts reliably, 5 days per week, Monday - Friday
18. Experience working in a café environment specifically
19. Previous involvement in menu development and food costing
20. Familiarity with premade, grab-and-go, or display food preparation
21. First aid certificate
