The Opportunity
Humes, a leader in precast concrete solutions, is seeking a high‐energy, "hands‐on" Production Manager to lead our Darwin operations. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, ensuring a culture of safety, and delivering high‐quality infrastructure products that support the growth of the Northern Territory.
Core Responsibilities
* Safety Leadership: Update and maintain safety management systems to ensure the health and well‐being of every person on‐site.
* Team Development: Mentor and develop Supervisors and Leading Hands, ensuring deep technical knowledge of Humes products and fostering a culture of competency.
* Operational Efficiency: Execute production plans that hit business targets while maximising facility throughput and managing load‐out logistics.
* Quality & Compliance: Guide QA/QC staff to ensure every product meets rigorous system‐based requirements and industry standards.
* Financial Accountability: Manage budgets, provide accurate forecasts, and oversee monthly stocktakes with precision.
* Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and implement initiatives to lean out processes and boost productivity.
About You
* Industry Savvy: Experience in precast concrete or a heavy‐duty related industry is highly preferred.

* Proactive Mindset: You are known for getting on the front foot and taking immediate ownership of production challenges.
