Core Talent has partnered with a leading international design consultancy to recruit an experienced Bid Manager for their Sydney studio. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role plays a key part in driving high-quality, strategic bids across the organisation.
Our client is a globally recognised architecture and design practice specialising in landscape architecture, urban design, environmental planning and advisory services. They are known for delivering sustainable, innovative and community-shaping projects across both public and private sectors.
As the Bid Manager, you will lead end-to-end submissions, manage bid strategy, coordinate technical contributors and produce compelling proposals that win major projects. You'll partner closely with Studio Leaders and the Marketing & Communications team, guiding the development of submissions from initial brief through to presentation.
Key Responsibilities
:
Bids & Proposal Management
* Lead and manage major tenders, shaping strategy, defining deliverables and ensuring on-time, high-quality submissions.
* Coordinate internal bid processes including project registration, go/no-go decisions and review milestones.
* Interpret client briefs, source content and collaborate with subject matter experts.
* Write and produce EOIs, proposals, selection criteria, questionnaires, interview content and presentations.
* Maintain CRM records and ensure accuracy across all submission data.
* Drive consistency, share lessons learned and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Stakeholder & Client Engagement
* Build strong market knowledge to support winning strategies.
* Develop insights into client needs, industry trends and policy shifts.
* Manage subconsultant engagement, ensuring quality and compliance of their submissions.
* Handle client liaison, tender follow-up and feedback processes.
* Oversee the production and updating of team CVs and capability materials.
* Contribute to broader business development insights and competitive intelligence.
Project Sourcing & Market Intelligence
* Champion the studio's AI-enabled internal bidding workflow.
* Source relevant EOIs, panels and tenders through procurement portals.
* Monitor the market for new business opportunities and early project intel.
* Conduct ongoing research to identify strategic clients and potential future projects.
About You
* 8+ years' experience in Bid Management within professional services, design, consulting or related sectors.
* Degree or Master's in Marketing, Communications, Business or Project Management.
* Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills.
* Highly organised, deadline-driven and confident managing multiple concurrent bids.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capabilities.
* Strategic thinker with a collaborative and proactive mindset.
* Registration with AILA or an equivalent body (Not essential)
