Database administrators play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of organisations by managing and maintaining their database environments. This role involves providing support and managing the testing, training, and production database environment. It also includes providing application deployment and support for core business applications. Furthermore, database administrators are responsible for advising and administering advanced database optimisation initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing production SQL servers within a corporate environment. They should also possess experience in windows scripting, including batch script, VBS, and PowerShell to automate processes and tasks. Additionally, they should have knowledge of database development, including writing complex SQL scripts, reporting writing, and ETL process development. Basic knowledge of C# programming is also essential. Experience in ERP implementation is highly regarded.
