**About the Category Team**
The Category team ensures up-to-date product offerings, captures market share, and brings value to markets through innovation.
**About the role**
As a Category Manager your key responsibilities will be to drive profitable growth within your categories by developing and executing a customer led category strategy. You will bring together numerous stakeholders within the organisation and externally across our suppliers and customers to deliver the plan.
**Key Responsibilities of the position**:
- Uncovering, developing and executing product ranges and offers that meet our customers' needs
- Lead the development of negotiation outcomes, tactics, navigate complex supply arrangements
- Provide expert advice and lead training to the sales team and customer service on the category strategy and value/differentiation drivers
- Establishing and building on strong relationships and communication across stakeholders internally and externally to build effective working relationships
- Maximising profitability through a strong understanding of the products and the market
- Identify relevant customer opportunities for new channels and existing/potential customers
- Keeping up to date on any changes in regulations on your products into your markets and be able to communicate and educate the sales team
**Qualifications**:
**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
- A relevant tertiary qualification - procurement, supply chain, business, commerce, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience as a Category Manager
- The ability to be agile, adaptable and have a teamwork mentality
- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects within tight deadlines
- Highly analytical and a commercial acumen
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to think strategically and execute methodically
- An interest in sustainability and innovation
- An ability to be flexible and adaptable within a high pressure and changing environment and effectively manage multiple priorities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop relationships and influence key stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and a hands on approach
- System experience in D365, Focus or Pronto (desirable but not essential)
