Overview
The successful applicant would benefit from being involved in a fast growing, dynamic company with a high standard of values and ethics. The role will be in our Austral International team which designs and manufactures aluminium safety access covers (.au).
We are looking for a practical and multi-skilled person that would be involved in but not limited to the following:
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC Router: Review workshop drawings and specifications; Nest components on plate; Set tool paths and programs; Monitor machine while cutting sheet; Deburr and sort parts.
- Prepare material packs for welder: Interpret workshop drawings; Cut extrusions and flat bars; Group all parts together and label in job lots.
- Assemble products; Keep workshop clean and tidy; Pack, strap, and wrap orders ready for dispatch; Load and unload freight.
Qualifications
- Experience operating a CNC router (preferably with aluminium, but not essential).
- Machining experience.
- Ability to read and interpret workshop drawings.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Hold forklift licence.
Pay rate is open to negotiation and will be determined by skillset and experience.
