Remuneration:
Band 6 salary from $104,133.36 per annum plus superannuation and a fortnightly RDO
Location:
Werribee based with potential for a hybrid work arrangement
About the role
The Inclusion & Participation Officer plays an important role in supporting Wyndham's growing community to be active, connected and healthy through participation in sport and physical activity.
Working as part of the Sport Development & Community Participation team, you will plan, coordinate and deliver a range of programs, projects and initiatives that increase opportunities for community members to participate in physical activity. This includes supporting informal recreation opportunities, working with community organisations and local sports clubs, and delivering initiatives that promote inclusive participation across the municipality.
You will collaborate with internal teams, community organisations, sports clubs, service providers and residents to strengthen participation pathways and help activate sport and recreation spaces across Wyndham.
This role also contributes to the delivery of Council strategies and priorities relating to sport, recreation and community participation.
What your day will look like
* Plan, coordinate and deliver programs, projects and events that encourage participation in sport and physical activity across Wyndham.
* Work with community organisations, sports clubs and service providers and Wyndham residents to develop and promote inclusive opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to be physically active.
* Support local sports clubs, community organisations and physical activity providers to strengthen their capacity and grow participation opportunities within the community.
