**About the team**
The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure.
**The opportunity**
We have multiple permanent full-time opportunities for a Road Worker Grade 3 to join our Maintenance & Delivery team in Mardi NSW. You'll be working within a work crew consisting of a team leader, road workers and plant operators to primarily undertake road maintenance and construction activities across our state network.
You will undertake a range of duties to support the efficient maintenance of road infrastructure within New South Wales, including but not limited to:
- Maintenance of established pavements.
- Establishment and maintenance of roadside fixtures and signage.
- Vegetation management including brush cutting, removing trees and trimming branches.
- Litter removal and clean-up of the road corridor.
- Incident response and removal of immediate hazards to road users.
- Graffiti removal from transport structures.
- Cleaning drainage structures.
- Construction of new or enhanced pavements.
- Control of traffic
Road Workers are provided with thorough training and opportunities to develop professionally.
**About you**
we are seeking a team-oriented worker who has an eye for detail and is used to working in similar environments.
You are a practical thinker, quick learner and great communicator who enjoys being physically active performing outdoor manual tasks involving the use of hand tools and equipment within a team setting. You must hold the following qualifications:
- White Card
- Current driver's licence
- Traffic Control Certifications (Traffic Controller / implement)
You're prepared to work outside normal working hours, attend call-outs, **work nightwork and** travel across the region and stay away from home when needed.
Holding a truck licence or experience operating plant machinery is advantageous (not essential).
**Wage and Benefits**
The wage for this position is Road Worker Grade 3 ($1,217.40) per week plus superannuation. Benefits include:
