We are partnering with an ambitious Renewable Energy company to identify a Middle Office Analyst who is looking to grow with the company.
Our client focuses on renewable energy investments and advanced energy technologies in Australia. It has a strong growth plan that involves both acquiring and developing solar, wind, and battery storage projects. It also manages several energy assets and secures a major customers for its energy management solutions business.
**About the Role**
The Middle Office Analyst role involves a variety of responsibilities, including:
- P&L/position reporting, settlements, and analytics, crucial for accurate risk management and measurement
- Developing risk models and reports
- Reviewing transactions, managing settlements, and conducting KYC and credit checks
- Monitoring compliance and improving operational efficiency.
Success in this position requires strong analytical skills and knowledge of risk models. Additionally, there are opportunities to contribute to system development and process improvements, aiming to streamline operations and enhance the accuracy and integrity of reporting.
- Demonstrated relevant analytical skills.
- Thorough understanding of data structures, databases, reporting, and visualisation tools.
- Experience in electricity/energy markets and trading highly advantageous.
- Could have a relevant background within a hedge fund, bank, or electricity company.
- Desire to take on new challenges, with a learning and development focus.
- Good interpersonal skills for effective communication with traders, someone who can speak up and problem solve.
