Job Description

We’re looking for a hands-on Workshop Managerto lead our busy service workshop, overseeing all day-to-day operations and ensuring quality workmanship, safety, and efficiency across every job.

About the Role

As the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all workshop activities — from repairs and maintenance to the assembly of new machines. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of leadership, working closely with technicians and customers to ensure the highest standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and support workshop technicians and apprentices.
- Oversee daily workflow, job allocation, and workshop scheduling.
- Manage pre-delivery and assembly of new machines.
- Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and time requirements.
- Liaise with the Service Manager and Parts Department to coordinate job requirements.
- Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.

About You

- Proven experience in a workshop environment — ideally with construction or heavy equipment.
- Robust leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
- Committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Hands-on and willing to lead by example.
