Location: Darra

Employment Type: Full time or Part time (4 days per week)

Salary: $77,200 - $110,143 per annum + annual leave loading & superannuation + vehicle options + mobile + laptop + options to boost salary up to $10,000

About The Role

We are looking for experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners to provide life‑changing therapy to NDIS participants. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner at Everyday Independence, no two days will be the same. If you were here last week, these are some of the things you may have done:

- Work in a variety of settings; from homes and schools to playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres
- Utilize assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving their goals and maximizing NDIS funding
- Build meaningful relationships with the participants and their supports (family, carers, friends)
- Develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans with function‑based strategies, utilizing positive behaviour support framework
- Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
- Collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges
- Attend weekly team meetings in the Hub; sharing stories of impact, coffee and laughs
- Tap into the knowledge and support of your Team Leader and dedicated Therapy Mentor

Who We Are Looking For

To work as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor, Masters or Graduate Diploma) and relevant registration such as:

- Occupational Therapist – degree in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration
- Speech Pathologist – degree in Speech Pathology and SPA registration
- Social Worker – degree in Social Work and AASW membership
- Mental Health Nurse – degree in Nursing and AHPRA registration
- Psychology, Psychological/Social Science or related field

You’ll also need:

- Be deemed a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (letter of evidence required)
- Minimum 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
- A positive and flexible approach to work
- Strong communication skills and be a team player
- Commitment to personal and qualified growth
- A valid Australian driver’s licence
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
