The Opportunity
Due to the growth of the college, the Islamic College of Brisbane (ICB) is seeking an organised and customer-focused College Store Officer to manage the daily operations of the College's on-site store. This is a full-time ongoing position from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, responsible for ensuring efficient store operations, maintaining accurate inventory records, and providing excellent service to students, staff, and visitors.
Role Responsibilities
* Manage, monitor and maintain the day-to-day stores operations, stock inventory and acquisition of goods and services.
* Ensure stock is maintained in a logical fashion and of a high standard of housekeeping and safety.
* Maintain all stock records.
* Determine reorder quantities to ensure adequate stock is maintained at all times and rotated using first in first out principle.
* Maintain security of all stores areas.
* Ordering goods as requested by staff/management in a timely manner and keeping persons who placed order up to date with any timelines, delays etc.
* Ensure incoming consignments and purchased items are collected from freight depots, received according to purchase orders, processed and distributed to work areas as soon as they arrive.
Selection Critieria
* Must possess a current Blue Card for working with children
* Previous experience in inventory management, storekeeping, or a related field
* Forklift License (desirable)
* High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, or a related area are a plus
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to operate inventory management software and other relevant IT systems
* Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and moving items.
