Role Overview
Position Title:
Disability Support Worker
Salary:
$70,000 - $110,000 + Superannuation Annually

We are seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team in the Cairns region. This full-time position involves providing high-quality support and care to individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve their personal goals and enhance their daily living.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Provide personal care assistance, including hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
Assist clients with mobility and transportation, including driving to appointments and activities.
Support clients with household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping.
Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs and goals.
Administer medication and monitor clients' health, ensuring all medical needs are met.
Facilitate social and recreational activities to promote community engagement and social inclusion.
Document and report on clients' progress and any changes in their condition.
Advocate for clients' rights and ensure they receive appropriate services and support.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other support workers to deliver holistic care.
Attend training sessions and workshops to maintain and enhance professional skills and knowledge.

You'll Need
Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, or Disabilities
Current First Aid Certificate and CPR certificate
QLD driver's licence
A roadworthy registered vehicle with full comprehensive car insurance
Worker Clearance screening (yellow card)
Current Police Check
Right to work in Australia
