Exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Officer to join a well-known government agency based in St Leonards.
This role will mainly focus on supporting the implementation, management, monitoring and evaluation of a diverse range of projects, contracts and services to contribute to the achievement of strategic and operational health-related objectives for the department.
This is a hybrid role (2-3 days in the office, and work from home)
Initial contract is for 5 months, with potential to extend
**About the Job**:
- Manage assigned projects to ensure they are undertaken effectively, within scheduled timeframes, quality standards and on budget, while achieving agreed targets
- Collaborate with team members to commission and execute contracts and grants with external agencies, including preparation of procurement and tender documentation, evaluation and contract preparation, and ensuring that contract management and the procurement process are compliant with the Institute's policies and procedures.
- Develop, maintain and foster effective networks, relationships and partnerships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
**About You**:
- Experience in a similar capacity as Project Officer within the public / government sector is a MUST
- Tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline such as health, public health or health promotion or equivalent, and relevant professional experience and training.
- Knowledge and understanding of health system in NSW
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills
