Description
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) is seeking a Service Desk Officer to provide high-quality customer service and technical support. Responsibilities include managing ICT issues such as asset issuance, troubleshooting, incident management, and fulfilling requests. Support is provided in person, over the phone, and via our ticket system - Jira.
Our team is committed to providing access to the latest systems and technologies for efficient service delivery anytime, anywhere.
This is a Permanent, Full-time position based in Dubbo.
The RFDS (Queensland and South Eastern Sections) collaborate to offer shared D&T support, working together to deliver top-tier services using combined expertise.
Key accountabilities include:
* Providing first and second-level support, developing knowledge articles, automating processes, and training staff
* Ensuring ICT environment compliance with best practices and ITIL standards
* Supporting and maintaining ICT assets and services to meet user needs
* Identifying and delivering ICT improvement initiatives
* Providing 'on call' 24-hour support every 6 weeks (additional allowances apply)
* Supporting the Dubbo base and Queensland network
* Occasional travel within QLD and NSW
Who are we looking for?
We seek a positive team player, highly analytical, and committed to delivering solutions. An open-minded problem solver excited to contribute daily and help save lives.
Qualifications and experience include:
* Qualification in IT or similar, or equivalent experience
* 1-3 years in ICT Support, Helpdesk, or Service Desk with customer service experience
* Troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
* Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
* Understanding of ITIL and IT Service Management
* Knowledge of ICT Procurement and Asset Management, Office 365, ServiceNow, SharePoint
* Health or Aviation industry experience is a plus but not essential
