Housekeeping Leadership Role
The successful candidate will oversee the housekeeping department, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and guest comfort are maintained. Responsibilities include auditing and inspecting housekeeping personal work assignments, ensuring rooms are made according to industry standards, monitoring room cleaning productivity, establishing performance targets, planning and controlling horticultural activities, handling guest complaints, verifying supplies consignments, and approving the functional manual of the department.
This leader must inspire team members to create a positive work environment, embracing core values and demonstrating leadership by example. They must also ensure the productivity and performance of the Housekeeping team, use established service procedures as a base for all training, achieve effective communication, and induce new team members into the team following established guidelines.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or Business Administration, minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in the hotel industry, strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, and Opera, knowledge of labor laws and employment visa requirements in the relevant state, leadership and effective administrative skills, multi-cultural awareness, ability to understand and navigate complex stakeholder environments, strong focus and passion for hotel operations, sound understanding of emerging trends in the industry, demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, develop, and inspire teams, confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship, and networking skills, demonstrated business acumen, ability to think strategically and plan on a mid to long term scale, strong personal integrity, entrepreneurial spirit, good interpersonal skills, flexibility, and ability to embrace and respond effectively to change.
This role requires constant standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling. It is located in Perth, Australia, and is a full-time position.
