We are seeking a highly skilled Geologist to join our team as a Senior Resource Geologist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment where you will be responsible for resource estimation and technical reporting of gold resources across our operations.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology, with a minimum of 5 years' experience as a geologist in mining. Underground, narrow vein gold experience is highly desirable.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
* Constructing 3D geological models of lithology, structure and mineralisation
* Using appropriate resource estimation techniques such as ordinary kriging to build high quality, accurate block models
* Reconciling updated resource block models against previous block models, grade control models and historical production
* Ensuring the integrity of the geological database and master geological files on the network server
* Identifying exploration targets and contributing to developing drilling budgets that will upgrade the mineral resource
* Preparing mineral resource technical reports and presentations for resource model estimations to communicate risks and opportunities to management, engineers and other stakeholders
* Liaising with Mining Engineers to develop optimum mining limits, mine designs, dilution, ore recoveries, and schedules
* Developing standards, processes and other tools compliant with JORC Code guidelines
* Ensuring systems, standards and procedures for estimations are applied and drive resource estimation accuracy and quality
The ideal candidate will be tertiary qualified and motivated, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will also have highly developed problem identification and solution conceptualisation skills.
