Mix of short-term and permanent vacancies availableJoin The Repat Neuro-Behavioural UnitAssist in the provision of high-quality Mental Health Nursing services within South Australia.About the role:The RNBU will provide high quality, compassionate, relationship-centred care to consumers living with dementia who experience associated behavioural and psychological symptoms at very severe to extreme levels. These consumers will have specialised needs that make them initially not able to be supported in mainstream aged care environments, with a goal of the unit being successful transfer to a less specialised long-term setting. The care model places the person at the centre of individualised care including strong engagement with carers and loved ones both upon entry into the Unit and throughout the consumer journey.Duties for the role will include:Providing compassionate relationship centred nursing care to consumers that involves carers and building knowledge of the consumer and carer as individuals and as a network of relationships which provide human connection.Participating in caring conversations and complete care tasks within their scope of practice which are underpinned by courage, connecting emotionally, being curious, collaborating, considering perspectives, compromising and celebrating aspects bout individuals and practices that we value.Assisting nurses in routine tasks with patients associated with the activities of daily livingEnsuring supervision of patients in activity areas throughout the course of the shiftThis role is required to work Early/Late shifts over a 7-day rotating rosterAbout you:hold a Certificate lll or IV in one of the following health related disciplines:Basic Health CareAged CareHealth Services Assistance: (Qualifications to include elective units recommended for AIN Acute care);Or such other nationally recognised courses approved within the healthcare setting by full agreement of DHA and the ANMFExperience with caring for patients with dementiaDemonstrated commitment to high quality, compassionate, relationship-centred care to consumers living with dementia who experience associated behavioural and psychological symptoms at very severe to extreme levels.To learn more about theRepat Neuro-Behavioural Unit click here!Please see the attached Role Description for additional information.Want To Know More?
