The Role
As CTO, you'll be responsible for defining and executing Altus's end-to-end technology strategy – from architecture and engineering excellence through to AI innovation and platform scalability. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll lead a growing team of Architects, Tech Leads, Developers and Testers, and partner closely with Product, Delivery, Sales and Customer teams.
You'll shape how we:
* Build and scale enterprise-grade PPM software
* Embed AI and automation into everyday work
* Protect, evolve and commercialise Altus's intellectual property
* Deliver high-quality releases at speed – without compromising reliability
This is both a strategic and hands-on leadership role – perfect for someone who loves thinking big and building great technology.
What you'll be doing
* Set the technology vision and roadmap aligned to Altus's business strategy and product goals
* Lead and inspire a high-performing engineering team, fostering innovation, ownership and continuous learning
* Own platform architecture and scalability, ensuring reliability, security and performance at enterprise scale
* Drive AI-first innovation, embedding Copilot, intelligent automation and agent-based workflows into the product
* Champion modern DevOps and engineering practices, enabling rapid, high-quality delivery
* Partner cross-functionally with Product, Delivery, Customer Success and Sales to turn ideas into impact
* Represent Altus externally with Microsoft and key partners, staying ahead of platform innovation
* Manage technology investment and risk, including cloud optimisation, security, compliance and resilience
About you
You're a strategic technologist and people leader who thrives in growth environments. You combine deep technical credibility with strong business acumen — and you love building platforms that make a real difference.
You'll likely bring:
* 10+ years in software engineering, including 5+ years in senior technology leadership
* Proven experience building and scaling SaaS or enterprise platforms, ideally in the Microsoft ecosystem
* Strong background in cloud architecture (Azure preferred) and modern software development
* Experience embedding AI/ML or intelligent automation into real-world products
* A passion for building high-performing teams and healthy engineering cultures
* The ability to translate complex technical decisions into business outcomes
Bonus points if you've worked with Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Copilot, or enterprise work management platforms – but curiosity and learning mindset matter just as much.
