Your role at St John of God Bunbury Hospital

The Food Service Assistant assists in the preparation, delivery and service of meals to patients and staff to a high standard of excellence.

The role is offered on a Casual basis.

Key Responsibilities:

* Establish and maintain direct working relationships with colleagues and internal/external customers.
* Adhere to principles of the Equal Opportunity Act and Code of Conduct.
* Participate as part of a team and maintain a high standard of staff morale.
* Interpret menu cards for meal service to patients.
* Assist with washing of cutlery, crockery and glassware.
* Assist with washing up of large heavy duty pots, pans and other kitchen utensils.
* Observe and practice all aspects of food, kitchen and personal hygiene.
* Assist with general kitchen hygiene, washing of walls, floors and refrigerators etc., and other areas as requested.

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will have sound knowledge of all areas of kitchen hygiene and ability to prioritise tasks.

You will have good interpersonal skills with ability to use initiative, demonstrate reliability and work with minimal supervision and guidance.

What We Offer:

* Salary: $37.19 to $38.51 (including casual loading), plus 11.5% superannuation.
* Casual position.
