Communications Specialist
Kambu Health is a community-controlled, not-for-profit organisation providing health and wellbeing services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Job Overview
* The Communications Specialist plays a key role in shaping and sharing the organisation's voice, both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Developing and implementing communication strategies, creating engaging content across multiple channels, and building strong relationships with media and stakeholders.
* Writing, editing, and distributing a range of content, including blog posts, social media updates, press releases, newsletters, and speeches.
* Managing website content, social media platforms, and digital media archives to ensure accuracy and engagement.
* Ensuring all communications align with the organisation's brand guidelines, maintaining a consistent tone, voice, and visual identity.
* Creating and distributing internal communications to keep staff informed, connected, and engaged.
* Coordinating internal and external events that reflect the organisation's values, purpose, and mission.
Requirements
* Demonstrated ability to write and edit clear, compelling content across a variety of formats and channels.
* Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and implement effective communication plans.
* Strong analytical skills to evaluate communications activities and provide insights and recommendations.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships with media, stakeholders, and team members.
* Well-developed time management and organisational skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Creative thinking to design engaging and innovative communication campaigns.
