About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Culinary Expert to support our Centre Chef in preparing nutritious meals for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. The ideal candidate will possess extraordinary culinary skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and provide thoughtful culinary classes alongside our Educators.
* Support the Centre Chef in preparing a wide variety of nutritious meals and purees, catering to dietary requirements for babies and children.
* Greet families with a warm smile each day and wow them with barista-made coffees and freshly baked treats (barista training provided if required).
* Provide engaging culinary classes that promote creativity and exploration among young learners.
* Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to Food and Council Authority standards and Green Leaves Early Learning policies.
* Demonstrate excellent time-management and communication skills to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* A current Food Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain upon commencement.
* A current State relevant Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain upon commencement.
* Current Child Protection Training or willingness to obtain.
* Current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR, and First Aid Certificates or willingness to obtain.
* Experience cooking for young children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.
* Availability to work 20 hours per week.
* The ability to step up into the Chef's role when absent from the Centre during operating hours.
