Producer, Vivid Light – Vivid Sydney
* Duration: 7 October 2025 – 10 July 2026, With potential extension for Vivid Sydney 2027 and Vivid Sydney 2028
* Day rate: $800 + Per Day super

Shape the light of Australia's biggest festival. Destination NSW is seeking an experienced Producer, Vivid Light to research, develop and deliver the innovative and world-class Vivid Light program for Vivid Sydney 2026.
This exciting role will see you working with artists, creative practitioners, venues, government agencies and industry partners to curate and deliver bold, accessible, and sustainable light installations and activations that bring Sydney to life.
Key Responsibilities
* Program Development – scope, research and develop an innovative, progressive, and accessible Vivid Light program in collaboration with the Festival Director and Curatorial Panel.
* Stakeholder Engagement – work closely with artists, agents, promoters, tertiary institutions, precincts, commercial partners, and government agencies.
* Project & Strategic Planning – oversee program design, milestones, budgets, resourcing, and implementation to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
* Creative Leadership – provide guidance to artists and installation teams, ensuring activations align with curatorial vision, safety principles, and accessibility standards.
* Collaboration – contribute to broader Vivid Sydney initiatives including Access & Inclusion, Sustainability, and cross-program activations with Vivid Music and Vivid Ideas.
* Contract & Procurement – support procurement and contract management in line with NSW Government guidelines.
* On-site Delivery – oversee bump-in, testing, event operations, and bump-out in collaboration with production teams and stakeholders.
* Marketing & Communications – contribute to media launches, program collateral, and content capture for promotion.
* Reporting – maintain documentation and contribute to post-event evaluation and reporting.
About You
You're a proven creative producer or program manager with extensive experience in delivering large-scale cultural events. You bring:
* Strong background in event production, programming, or creative development.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills across artistic, government, and commercial sectors.
* Experience managing budgets, contracts, and procurement processes.
* Ability to balance creative vision with operational delivery.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours during the event period.
