Taree Aquatic Club (the Sailos) has an opportunity for a confident, mature minded, customer focused individual to take on the key role of receptionist / bar attendant in a casual capacity.
We believe that the person at the front reception is the face of the club, and that first impression our members and guests will make of our venue. We are looking for someone who can welcome each and every person that comes into our venue and provide them with the great service that they deserve.
In this role you will be responsible for "front of house" reception duties that will include:
· Meeting and greeting members and guests on arrival;
· Assisting our customers to join or renew their membership;
· Providing patrons with information on club offerings;
· Updating / inputting restaurant reservations;
· Receiving and directing all incoming telephone calls;
· Taking messages and forwarding them appropriately;
· Ensuring the cleanliness of the reception area;
· Enforcing club dress regulations and front entry compliance;
· Assist staff with promotional displays and club advertising;
· Assist in the bar when required;
· Some ad hoc administrative tasks
To be considered for this position you will possess:
· A strong customer service focus and experience in delivering high quality service;
· A minimum of 1-2 years customer service experience;
· Be well presented and punctual;
· Have accurate cash handling skills;
· Have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
· Be able to prioritise your work schedule;
· Be computer literate;
· Hold both RSA & RCG approved competency card
· Must have current Australian work rights;
Primarily, this role will involve Monday to Friday work from 11am – 2.30pm (approx hours per week) making it an ideal role for someone that may have to work around school commitments. It would be advantageous for the successful applicant to have some bar experience to assist bar staff when required or when on meal breaks.
Our club is currently going through an exciting amalgamation process with Taree Leagues Sports Club locally in Chatham. Subject to the amalgamation being approved, this may require you to work at the Leagues Club to cover periods of staff leave.
This position will be remunerated in accordance with the Registered & Licensed Clubs Award 2010 Level 3 (approx. $33.38 per hour + allowances).
