Monday to Friday | Approx. 40-hour work week
Office based in West Perth with significant site presence
About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Coordinator to lead and coordinate project and maintenance works under a major WA Housing Contract. Reporting to the Procurement & Subcontractor Manager, this role provides operational oversight to Maintenance Supervisors and Service Delivery Partners (SDPs), ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual KPIs, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
This is a hands-on, site-focused role requiring strong residential construction knowledge and the ability to work directly with trades, subcontractors, and government stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate project and maintenance delivery across residential housing assets
* Oversee project timelines, scopes, variations, and subcontractor performance
* Provide leadership, guidance, and operational support to Maintenance Supervisors
* Manage subcontractor compliance, safety, risk, and escalated site issues
* Ensure adherence to HSE policies, WA WHS legislation, and Zero Harm principles
* Monitor KPIs, reporting, invoicing, and contract compliance documentation
* Scope residential works and review jobs prior to allocation to ensure clarity and accuracy
* Prepare tender briefs and engage with building contractors and trades
* Identify continuous improvement opportunities across scheduling, workflows, and delivery models
* Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, Service Delivery Partners, and government representatives
* Use work order management systems (WMS) to allocate and manage jobs
* Operate in the field using mobile devices to manage and update works in real time
* Strong exposure to residential construction or possession of a WA Building Licence
* Proven experience scoping works across residential buildings
* Sound building and trade knowledge, including roofs, structural elements, support beams, and general construction practices
* Experience preparing tender briefs and engaging building companies
* Hands-on experience working directly with trades and subcontractors
* Confident and professional face-to-face communication with clients
* Strong interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills
* Experience operating in a building or construction environment
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and work order management systems
* Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
