ABOUT THE ROLE As a Registered Midwife/Nurse, your responsibilities will include:In the capacity of a Registered Midwife/Nurse, you will collaborate with a diverse team, delivering patient care with the assistance and direction of the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse, and Shift Leaders. You will provide family-centered nursing care, ensuring the highest standards of care and service to mothers, families, and newborns within our state-of-the -art facility.
REQUIREMENTSCurrent registration with AHPRA; A minimum 2 years of post-graduate experience in Birth Suite; A comprehensive knowledge of all areas of maternity services; Postgraduate maternity qualifications will be highly regarded, though not essential; Exceptional skills in time management, clinical problem solving, and organisational skills; You should possess a strong clinical skillset working within a hospital setting, particularly in maternity services.Your proficiency in effective communication and your ability to foster and sustain valuable interpersonal connections are vital, as you will be engaging with family members, a wide array of healthcare professionals, and community agencies in a constructive and collaborative manner. Advanced Diploma in area of speciality (desirable); IBCLE (International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant) or expertise in management and advice in breastfeeding to parents (desirable); Group facilitation skills (desirable).
