Tutor of English as an Additional Language (EAL) at Ipswich School. 
PART TIME: 0.4FTE. 
Closing Date: October 7, 2025. 
Interview Date: October 13, 2025. 
From January 2026, or before. 
We wish to appoint a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, autonomous tutor to teach EAL to our Y7 – Y13 overseas boarders, many of whom are from Hong Kong or the PRC. 
Reporting to the Head of EAL, the successful applicant will have a current TEFL, TESOL or CELTA qualification and will enjoy working with and encouraging young people, all of whom are hard working and willing to learn. 
Responsibilities 
- Teach EAL to Y7–Y13 overseas boarders, many from Hong Kong or the PRC. 
- Report to the Head of EAL and work with and encourage pupils who are hard working and willing to learn. 
- Deliver teaching hours on Mondays and Fridays, as well as Saturday mornings, during term time. 
- Potential accommodation and additional remuneration for involvement with the boarding provision. 
Qualifications 
- Current TEFL, TESOL or CELTA qualification.
