The Department of Communities brings together the services and functions of disability services, child protection and family support, community initiatives and regional services reform.

The Opportunity

As an Aboriginal Practice Leader, you will be responsible for:

- contributing to the development and implementation of effective practices relating to Aboriginal children and their families;
- providing high level advice to the District Director and Leadership team on issues relating to Aboriginal services that is proactive, solution focused and responsive to customer needs;
- developing and implementing cultural learning strategies that include mentoring and coaching;
- the implementation of quality assurance mechanisms that support monitoring and continuous improvement of services to Aboriginal children and their families.
