The Manager, Communications and Marketing is a dynamic role responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team to deliver strategic, high-quality internal and external communications This includes marketing, branding, media relations, crisis communications, and digital platforms, while providing expert advice to the CEO, Mayor, and senior leadership. The position requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to manage complex issues, reputational risks, and high-profile projects with autonomy and professionalism in a dynamic environment of changing priorities.
The successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications or extensive demonstrated experience relevant to the role. They will also have:
• high level experience in media management and crisis
• high level leadership and strategic planning skills
• strategic stakeholder engagement and community engagement principles and practices
• proven ability to manage complex issues and deliver under pressure
• ability to work outside of core hours, if required on high priority communications and crisis management matters
Remuneration: base salary commencing at $161,533 gross per annum
+ 12% superannuation
+ performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary
+ annual award increase
