Job Title: Water Infrastructure Specialist
* Ambitious and innovative water infrastructure specialist required to lead the design, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), and delivery oversight of water systems across multiple hubs ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable water supply.
* Develop and implement technical standards and guidelines for water infrastructure, overseeing execution by the Capital Projects team and leading the takeover and commissioning process before handover to site operations teams.
* Collaborate closely with hydrogeology teams to translate borefield and water source plans into engineered systems, providing ongoing technical support to operations teams to ensure systems are operated and maintained to the highest standards.
About the Role:
* Design and engineering standards for water infrastructure systems including pipelines, borefields, storages, pumps, treatment facilities, and associated control systems.
* QA/QC of detailed water system designs prepared by the Capital Projects team, ensuring compliance with corporate engineering guidelines and safety standards.
* Technical takeover process for completed projects including commissioning checks, functional verification, and handover to site operations teams.
* Planning and design phase to ensure systems meet water source and mine plan requirements, working in close collaboration with hydrogeology teams.
* Integration of control systems including SCADA and automation platforms into water infrastructure designs and oversee their implementation.
* Guide and mentor senior engineers to ensure consistent quality and delivery across projects.
* Maintain seamless integration of water supply and system capacity with wider site water management plans.
* Provide ongoing technical support to operations teams for optimizing, maintaining, and upgrading water systems post-handover.
* Ensure designs align with operational, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
* Oversee engineering governance, including compliance with regulatory and corporate standards.
Key Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
* Proven experience in water infrastructure design, QA/QC, and project delivery.
* Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, piping systems, and hydraulic modeling.
* Excellent communication and project management skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and/or other CAD software.
