Job Overview
Our organization is seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to support our work with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) in Central Australia.
The Project Officer will be responsible for facilitating workshops, on country picnics and overnight camps to empower women and girls in remote communities. They will also support women to lead prevention and healing activities in their local communities.
Key Responsibilities
* Facilitate workshops, on country picnics and overnight camps to promote social justice and equality.
* Support women to lead prevention and healing activities in remote communities.
* Contribute to the development of new initiatives that strengthen culturally safe practice.
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in areas such as Project Management, Community Development, Social Work, or experience in group facilitation.
* Experience in project coordination and community development.
* Knowledge of trauma-informed and strengths-based practice.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
