The Opportunity
As a result of continued growth, we are looking to hire a Specialist (comparable to Consultant/Senior Consultant level in Big 4 professional services firms) to join Risk Advisory in either Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne. As a Specialist, you will be an integral member of a team delivering risk, regulatory and compliance advice and solutions to clients across a variety of industries, including financial services, telecommunications, energy, retail, corporate and government. Your work will include advising clients on the development and implementation of risk frameworks, the assessment of risk programs, the design of controls and implementation of controls testing and uplift, as well as the design and implementation of regulatory change and compliance programs.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver risk, regulatory, and compliance advice and solutions across multiple industries.
* Advise on risk frameworks, risk program assessment, controls design, testing, regulatory change and compliance programs.
* Collaborate with subject matter experts across operational risk, regulatory risk, data & analytics, ESG, financial crime, cyber risk, commercial advisory, project advisory, and managed services.
* Support Partners, Directors and Executives to identify and execute business development activities.
Qualifications
* Excited about using talents to solve diverse client problems with new, unique and inventive solutions.
* 3–5 years of relevant experience in risk, ideally in a client-facing consulting role. Candidates with 4+ years in compliance, risk management, or internal audit at listed companies will also be considered.
* Skilled risk practitioner, comfortable with common tools, frameworks and standards in this space, with proven experience developing and implementing risk management strategies and controls.
* Confident at autonomously finding solutions to a range of problems, especially those related to risk management, in a commercial and client‐focused way.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication with a focus on attention to detail; experience writing a range of business documents, including reports, letters and proposals.
