Job Overview
We are looking for a Legal Counsel to report to the General Counsel, Finance, Property and Corporate Governance. This role will support nbn's strategic objectives while ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
* Provide expert legal advice across corporate reporting, property, sustainability, governance, and general corporate legal support.
* Manage legal issues, support negotiations, and partner with stakeholders to deliver outcomes that balance commercial priorities with legal integrity.
* Engage proactively with teams across the business to shape strategies that mitigate risk and strengthen compliance.
Qualifications
* At least 5 years post‑qualification experience in a corporate environment or a mid‑to‑top‑tier law firm.
* Strong technical knowledge with a pragmatic, solutions‑oriented approach.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to balance commercial objectives with compliance.
Location & Employment
* Location: Chatswood, New South Wales, Australia (within Sydney metropolitan area)
* Full‑time
* Mid‑Senior level
* Salary range: A$180,000.00 – A$225,000.00
