Overview 
Digital Media Officer (Fixed-Term 12-Months Part Time) – CEO/Executive Services | Marketing/Public Relations, Media/Journalism 
The Shire of Esperance is seeking a Digital Media Officer to support the Media and Communication team. You will monitor and manage social media channels, keep digital platforms up to date, and support community updates and engagement activities across the organisation. 
Responsibilities 
Assist in the implementation of the Shire's Communication and Engagement Strategy. 
Draft, schedule, and publish engaging digital content (text, images, graphics, video, and campaigns). 
Support the delivery of community updates and information initiatives for projects and services. 
About you 
In order to succeed, you must have: 
Qualifications in communications, marketing, digital media (or similar), or hands-on experience that gives you the skills to succeed in this role. 
Confident using digital tools from design software (Canva or Adobe Creative Suite) to website content management systems and email marketing platforms (such as Mailchimp). 
Demonstrated experience running public or business social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube). 
Perks 
Salary: $37.25 - $38.64 per hour, dependent on relevant qualifications and experience. 
5 weeks annual leave per year for permanent staff. 
Option of one Rostered Day Off every 4 weeks in exchange for working 40 hours per week. 
Minimum of 12% superannuation employer contribution; superannuation co-contribution up to 5%.
