IT Technician
Al‑Ameen College is seeking a committed, highly professional, and experienced IT Technician to join our IT Department on a full‑time basis.
Technology plays an essential role in the educational and operational environment of Al‑Ameen College. The successful candidate will help ensure that IT systems, digital learning platforms, and infrastructure operate reliably, securely, and efficiently for our staff and students.
The IT Technician will support the day‑to‑day operation of the College's IT environment, including client devices, servers, classroom technologies, network infrastructure, cloud platforms, and user management systems.

Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will:
* Support positively the Islamic ethos, values, and mission of Al‑Ameen College.
* Provide Level 1–3 technical support across the College (software, hardware, network, user accounts, device deployment, printing, telephony, and troubleshooting).
* Assist with administration of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL, and cloud-based learning platforms.
* Provide maintenance and support for student/teacher information systems, including data imports, synchronisation, and digital learning access (e.g., Edval, Campion/MyConnect2).
* Support deployment and management of Windows, Apple, ChromeOS, and mobile devices across the College.
* Assist with configuration, operation, and troubleshooting of networking, Wi‑Fi, security systems, firewalls, and web filtering.
* Contribute to backup, recovery and business‑continuity processes (e.g., Veeam).
* Maintain professional communication with staff, students, parents, and external service providers.
* Handle all tasks with confidentiality, diligence, and strong customer‑service orientation.

Essential Criteria
* Qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Relevant experience in a similar IT support role, ideally in an educational or diverse enterprise environment.
* Strong commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in:
* Wired and wireless networking (design, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting)
* Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Azure AD / Entra ID
* Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)
* Intune Device Management (Windows, iPadOS, Android)
* Linux servers and/or Apple server environments
* Firewalls, VPN, filtering, and security appliances
* Backup systems including Veeam
* Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues logically, calmly, and efficiently under pressure.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within the IT team.
* Strong communication skills in both technical and non‑technical contexts.
* Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities, with attention to detail.
* Experience with security cameras, access control systems, and associated management software.
* Current WA driver licence.
* Ability to obtain and hold a valid Working With Children Check.
