Job Description
* Prepare statutory financial reports for companies and trusts at year-end.
* Manage the external audit process to ensure seamless compliance.
* Prepare income tax reconciliations and BAS Statements monthly.
* Deliver FBT returns and financial reports for overseas entities on time.
* Collaborate with offshore and Australian tax advisers for income tax return preparation.
* Maintain and review monthly financial records of trading entities.
* Oversee accounts payable and invoicing systems efficiently.
* Perform balance sheet maintenance and reconciliation tasks.
* Undertake ad-hoc projects, including enhanced reporting and report simplification.
* Assist with company secretarial matters as required.
* Liaise with group entities for statutory financial statements and income tax reconciliations.
* Supervise accounts payable, bookkeeper, and data input tasks effectively.
The Successful Applicant
* We seek a qualified professional with experience in a reputable accounting firm, holding a CA or CPA qualification.
* A strong background in preparing financial statements, including statutory reporting requirements for large proprietary companies.
* Familiarity with fringe benefits tax, GST, and BAS, along with compliance on reporting requirements.
* An ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
* Intermediate Excel skills, including understanding of functions and pivot tables.
