We're seeking a strategic, data-driven, and commercially minded Planner to join our team at our Pyrmont Head Office.
As a Planning Manager, you'll play a key leadership role in shaping commercial outcomes at Strand, driving business success through strategic analysis and forward-thinking merchandise planning. Leading the planning function within the Fashion category, you'll partner closely with Buying and cross-functional teams to set and deliver sales, margin, and inventory performance targets while guiding your team to optimise stock, maximise profitability, and support sustainable business growth.

This role is made for someone who thrives on numbers, brings previous Planning experience at a medium to large high-volume retailer and knows how to turn insights into action. You'll join a collaborative, fast-paced team with plenty of opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your Planning career!
What You Will Be Doing
* Analyse sales data and market trends to create seasonal plans and identify growth
* Manage Open-to-Buy budgets, balancing stock levels, pricing, and margins
* Build strategic range plans using data to support buying decisions
* Maintain store grading plans across channels, considering capacity and sales
* Monitor in-season trading and recommend pricing or promotions to optimise results
* Plan product allocations and replenishment based on forecasts and store profiles
* Coordinate promotional events, ensuring timely execution
* Provide clear reporting to support cross-functional decisions
* Present performance insights in weekly trade meetings
Who You Are
* Extensive experience in merchandise planning within fashion apparel or accessories retail
* Strong commercial acumen with highly developed analytical skills and a keen attention to detail
* Proven track record of delivering sales, profit, and margin targets through effective planning and inventory management
* Strong understanding of market trends, customer behaviour, and how to translate insights into commercial outcomes
* Strategic and proactive problem-solver with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Highly organised and results-driven, with the ability to lead, prioritise, and deliver in a fast-paced environment
* Advanced capability in merchandise planning systems and Excel, with the ability to leverage data to inform strategic decisions
