Divisional Financial Controller (Engineering, Trades and Labour Division)
We are looking for a commercially minded Divisional Financial Controller for our Engineering, Trades and Labour Division. This fast paced, highly visible and influential role will lead the Accounting and Payroll functions across a range of corporate entities. Reporting to the Group CFO, you will play a critical role in overseeing financial performance, compliance, reporting, and business partnering activities while leading and mentoring a high‐performing finance team. This dynamic opportunity is for someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with operational delivery.
Responsibilities
* Leading all divisional finance operations including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
* Preparing month‐end reports for Divisional CEO and Group CFO, including KPIs, dashboards and analysis
* Key monthly cycle lodgments and reporting including: BAS, payroll, tax, superannuation, workers compensation
* Preparing divisional cash flow forecasts for submission to Group Finance/Treasury
* Improving the finance operating model to generate efficiencies and cost improvements
* Overseeing the weekly payroll process for on‐hire employees
* Partnering with operational leaders to improve business performance and profitability
* Identifying process improvement opportunities and supporting system enhancements
What you need
* Min 5 years' experience as a Financial Accountant, Controller or Company Accountant
* Qualified Accountant (CA or CPA)
* Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role
* Strong influencing skills to achieve outcomes
* Management and development of teams
* Focus on efficiency and business improvement
* Strong commercial acumen and business partnering capability
* Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
* Advanced financial reporting and analytical skillsli>
