In this role, you'll:
You will be working as part of the Accounting Operations team who manage complex financial accounting activities, leading the coordination and communication of month-end processes, Closing Cockpit activities, and stakeholder engagement.
You will also act as the second in charge to the Manager Accounting operations and take on leadership responsibilities when required.
This role will see you deliver high-quality financial accounting services, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant frameworks and standards. You will also lead the investigation of data anomalies and perform root cause analysis to support timely resolution and accurate financial reporting.
You will lead the general ledger accounting activities, including preparing and reviewing complex reconciliations and journals, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial data in accordance with relevant standards and frameworks.
The team hub for this role will be located in Burwood and there will be the expectation that the successful candidate will be able to commit to our 50% workplace presence requirements.

About you
You hold tertiary qualifications in accounting, commerce or a related discipline and full professional membership with either CPA Australia (CPA), Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), or an equivalent.
You will have experience in Financial Accounting and reporting in a large and complex organisation. You will also have demonstrated experience with financial modelling and Power tools.
You have leadership skills or experience and be able to manage and lead team performance outcomes. You will also have demonstrated ability to build stakeholder relationships and have the capacity to work collaboratively with both stakeholder and team members.
You will have exceptional communications skills and can communicate and present complex financial information clearly.
You have an inquisitive mind and enjoy learning new technologies and can also identify any gaps in current processes and advise on improvements.
