Our client is a well-established Australian energy infrastructure organisation supporting essential electricity and gas services. The business is currently delivering a short-term transformation initiative and requires additional documentation support.
About the Role
This is an initial 3-month contract opportunity for an experienced Technical Writer to support a change initiative by reviewing, updating and creating operational Work Instructions.
You'll work with business SMEs and delivery teams to ensure documentation reflects recent process and system changes across areas such as metering, billing, field services and customer operations. The focus is on producing clear, practical and easy-to-follow instructions that will be used by frontline and operational teams.
This role is hands-on, delivery focused, and well suited to someone who can quickly get up to speed and add value.
About You
You have experience creating or updating Work Instructions, SOPs or similar operational documentation in enterprise environments.
Ideally, you will bring:
* Experience as a technical or operational writer
* Confidence working with SMEs to understand processes and capture changes accurately
* Ability to turn complex information into clear, user friendly instructions
* Strong attention to detail and consistency
* Familiarity with enterprise systems (e.g. SAP or similar), or the ability to learn quickly
* Utilities or regulated industry experience is beneficial, but not essential.
