**The Role**
An ASD 4 ICT Support Technician within the Data Centre Managers team will organise their workflow applicable to their area of responsibility.
They will provide technical support that is informed by their knowledge of Technical / ICT solutions for implementing hardware and software installs and de-commissioning.
They will provide advice to a range of stakeholders on broad technical and administrative issues to achieve work unit and ASD outcomes. Monitoring of work practices, guided by embedded procedures and priorities.
An ASD 5 Technical Specialist - Professional within the Data Centre Managers team will organise their workflow applicable to their area of responsibility. Undertake complex technical research and analysis, and perform Technical / ICT solutions for implementing hardware and software installs and de-commissioning. Coordinate and contribute to the team's work effort consistent with stated work plans and provide advice and assistance on methods of task completion to team members.
They will provide advice to a range of stakeholders on more complex technical and administrative issues to achieve work unit and ASD outcomes. Monitoring of work practices, guided by embedded procedures and priorities.
All levels will be required to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
**About our Team**
The Australian Signals Directorate is seeking to fill a number of Data Centre positions, at the ASD 4 - 6 levels, within the Enterprise Technology Division's (ETD) Data Centre team.
ETD's Data Centre team is responsible for the day to day management of ASD's Enterprise Data Centre facilities and infrastructure.
The Enterprise Technology Division is comprised of members of diverse skills and disciplines who work together deliver Data Centre operational capability across ASD.
- Accountable to contribute to the investigation, diagnosis and resolution of network problems and provide advice on preventative strategies.
- Responsible to ensure all requests for support are dealt with and manage any outstanding problems in accordance with ASD and organisation standards, policies and procedures.
- Able to use experience to design and implement network changes and maintenance routines.
- Able to build and sustain effective working relationships with team members and actively participate in team work and group activities.
- Able to facilitate appropriate direction for the team by clearly communicating goals and objectives.
