Responsibilities
Installation, alignment and maintenance of conveyors, crushers, overhead cranes, pumps and rotating equipment.
Carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance on heavy industrial plant and machinery.
Performing fault-finding, repairs and breakdown support in rapid-paced operational environments.
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics and P&IDs; working alongside electricians, boilermakers and riggers on joint projects.
Complying with company and client WHS requirements, JSA/SWMS and permit-to-work systems.
Your Profile
Qualified Mechanical Fitter / Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) or equivalent.
Proven experience in heavy industry, mining, steel, or large-scale manufacturing environments.
Solid knowledge of pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics and rotating equipment.
White Card and ability to obtain site-specific inductions and relevant high-risk licences (e.g., EWP, confined space).
Team player with positive problem-solving skills and flexibility to travel to client sites.
DESIRABLE:
Shutdown/turnaround experience in mining, steelworks or processing plants.
Experience with precision alignment (laser alignment of motors/gearboxes).
Exposure to food-grade or stainless-steel mechanical installations.
